Cell Line Description

Derived by exposing C3H/10T1/2 clone 8 cells with 3-methylcholanthrene for 24 hours. Subsequently they lost the property of contact inhibition. Inoculation of 100,000 cells or more into syngenic mice has been reported to produce fibrosarcoma.

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 to 1:20 i.e. seeding at 2x1,000 to 2x10,000 cells/cm² using 0.05% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
