Malignant cells produced on passaging BE10-Intermediate (ECACC catalogue no. 93040119) beyond passage 40. The cells possess tissue plasminogen activator activity, are tumourigenic in BDIX rats and form colonies in agar.

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:10 to 1:20 i.e. seeding at 1-2x100,000 cells/25cm² using 0.05% trypsin/EDTA; 10-15% CO₂; 37°C.

Culture Medium

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 15% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
