Bacteriophages
NCTC have a collection of over 100 bacteriophages which were deposited between 1950 and 1992 primarily for their value in bacterial typing.
Recently, these have been characterised and re-authenticated in view of making them more accessible to scientists worldwide. The collection consists of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Campylobacter bacteriophages.
NCTC is a dynamic repository and welcomes new depositions of phages into the collection.
