The rise of iPSCs

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are increasingly being used in research. The number of publications citing the use of iPSCs is increasing every year as seen in Figure 1 above.

To assist scientists in their research, ECACC provide quality-controlled and disease-relevant iPSC lines for academic, not-for-profit and commercial laboratories worldwide. The two iPSC collections distributed by ECACC are the HipSci collection and the EBiSC collection. These resources provide researchers with a choice of over 1,500 iPSC lines derived from blood and tissue samples, from male and female subjects of various ages, and represent a wide variety of rare and more prevalent diseases. 

Below is a selection of recent publications that have cited the use of iPSC lines avaiable from the HipSci and EBiSC collections via the ECACC catalogue.
